28th Oct 2002 – first report on peony disease caused by alfalfa msaic virus .

Japanese Peony ( Paeonia albiflora ) were founf affected by a disease with virus like symptom. The oldest leaves showed yellow, mosaic, oak-like arabesques and line-pattern. The remaining leaves and pint flowers wer symtomless. This disease is know as the peony ring spot. This disease is asswith strains of tobacco rattle virus.
